Congratulations to QSAR

Very Proud new owners of the Custom Built Stu Meeks

Quinte Search and Rescue (QSAR) were very proud to acquire a brand new custom built SAR vessel in the past week.

The aluminum 19'9" Henley centre console was built to spec for QSAR by Henley Boats and has state of the art Raymarine GPS/Chartplotter/Nav, Whelan search lights and blue light; and all the goodies a SAR vessel could want.

She is powered by a new Evinrude 115 H.O. with hydraulic steering and is an exceptionally agile and stable vessel.

After many months of hard work, fundraising and support from the community, QSAR was very proud to take possession of her on May 24th.

The commercially registered Henley has been dubbed the "Stu Meeks" in honor of the family who served over 50 years in search and rescue in the Quinte community.

LaSalle Rescue, founded by the late Stu Meeks, was one of the first CCGA units commissioned in 1978.

When you are in the Belleville area, please stop by to take a peek. Any units looking to upgrade or build a new rescue vessel, please feel free to call QSAR unit leader Paul Kerwin, and he'll be happy to discuss the process they went through to design and build their vessel.

To our family of CCGA volunteers., have a great season and keep safe.
Cheers!
